Marandayi maranama Dharug ngurra. Always was, always will be Dharug country.
Indigenous Studies as an interdisciplinary field provides students with knowledge and skills to think critically about the various issues impacting Indigenous communities locally, nationally and globally.
Indigenous Studies will expand your understanding of society by focusing on the diverse experiences, stories and ideas within Indigenous cultures at local, national and international levels: from the Department’s immediate connection and commitment to Dharug people, through to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across the country and surrounding Islands, and Indigenous knowledges around the globe. Indigenous Studies will transform your life and your world.
Indigenous peoples across the world are the ones keeping the human race from destroying itself and leading itself to disaster.
